Letter

The following is a letter I wrote yesterday. If you can figure out who it's to, I'll give you a cookie the next time I see you. Think creatively.

Dear CI&S, Inc.,

Thank you for your consistent service and support; it is a unique gift you have clearly cultivated over time to offer freely to your many friends, colleagues, and acquaintances. The value is immeasurable, and I congratulate you on your ability to not only see the market need, but capture it so fully. I write to you today about a matter I find personally important regarding the services your company brings, and a manner in which I believe you may further profit.

It has come to my attention in recent time that a level of solicitation beyond what your customers appreciate, has been put forth. Certainly, some advertisement is necessary, as it generates new customers and friends. And, I wholly encourage you to continue to find new and innovative ways to reach your market using every imaginable tool. However, I believe that a limit exists, past which persons may find your services to be less desirable.

For example, certain services you provide are more aptly-timed than others, and being able to accurately anticipate the needs of the customer is crucial to future earnings and winning over the competition. The use of additional tools such as SM (Social Media), and other medium platforms such as planes and trains, have proven very successful for other companies. I implore you to consider these options, but also to consider the strength of your marketing. I believe that my personal market for your products has reached a limit, and I now wish to lessen my subscription. Please endeavor to ensure that other customers do not fall into the same mindset as me, as this would mark a downturn in your business.

I have taken great pains to compose this message so that it might reach your ears in the most effective, yet amenable manner. Please know that I value our friendship beyond what words convey either here or in your company, and no action has the capacity to alter my perception of your worth. Thank you very much for your time and consideration today. I may be reached at any time, as you know, by any means necessary.

Kindest regards,

-Chris
